Cosmetic laser treatments can be used for numerous conditions including but not limited to: acne scarring, age spots, broken blood vessels, brown spots, cherry angiomas, rosacea, skin tightening, tattoo removal, wrinkles and fine lines. Here at Aspire Dermatology, we have many multipurpose lasers to treat your specific cosmetic concern.
BBL Broadband Light innovative technology sets new standards for the treatment of skin conditions associated with aging, active life-styles and sun damage. BBL broadband light energy, also known as Intense Pulsed Light therapy or photo facial, allows your cosmetic provider to treat acne, pigmented lesions (freckles and age spots), vascular lesions (cherry angiomas, telangiectasia and rosacea). It utilizes light to gently heat the upper layers of skin, removing damaged skin and accelerating the development of underlying collagen, the element of skin responsible for giving it resilience and firmness. With little recovery time and no surgery, BBL offers a safe and easy option for younger looking skin that’s firmer and more even in tone and texture, over the course of multiple treatments.
Gemini is an advanced laser system that can be used for a wide range of skin pigmentation and lesion issues, including hyperpigmentation, port wine stains, dark spots on the face and hands and broken blood vessels. The Gemini laser works on two wavelengths to target pigment within the skin and within broken capillaries, to target a variety of damaged cells. This laser does not cause skin peeling, but most patients will experience mild redness and stinging after treatment, which will subside after several days. Depending on the severity of the case and response to treatment, some will need multiple treatments spaced one month apart.
MedLite Q-Switched laser machine creates a pulsed laser beam of higher peak power. By using a pulsed laser, the higher energy of the laser creates a ‘photo-mechanical’ effect on skin pigmentation, such as brown spots, as well as tattoo ink. Two combined wavelengths in one laser add flexibility to the treatment options for tattoos as well as skin blemishes and lesions. When treating brown spots, they will become darker immediately after treatment for about seven to ten days, and the areas will appear flaky and have a light, peppered appearance. Brown spots can clear after a single treatment or after several treatments.
elōs Plus SRA Applicator or Skin Rejuvenation Advanced, combines bi-polar radio frequency and light energies of elōs technology to precisely and safely target pigmented lesions such as freckles, sun spots and age spots. Vascular lesions such as spider vessels and redness from rosacea are also lightened and gradually fade. This laser is effective for most skin types. Gradual and cumulative improvement of skin tone is typically achieved in 5 treatment sessions. The total number of required treatment sessions depends on your skins condition. Cooling of the skin surface ensures additional safety during treatment. There is no-downtime procedure, and most patients return to normal activities immediately after treatment.
elōs Plus Sublative RF Applicator or RF Skin Resurfacing, enables you to achieve a more youthful appearance. This technology has been shown to effectively treat mild to moderate wrinkles and textural irregularities. RF energy is precisely directed into the skin in the form of a matrix. Healthy skin around the dots accelerates the healing process of the skin. Post treatment, new collagen and healthy skin cells are produced. Typical treatment protocol is 3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart. The total number of required treatment sessions depends on your skins condition. During treatment, many patients feel a warm, prickly sensation as energy enters their skin. After treatment a pink or red ‘sunburn’ appearance and inflammation is also common. Topical anesthetic ointments and cooling are used to reduce unpleasant feelings during treatment. In most cases, it is possible for the patient to return to daily activities right after treatment. However, in certain situations more uncomfortable side effects like peeling of the skin may occur, and in some cases the skin may develop temporary crusting around the area. This makes it highly important to start off Sublative treatments slowly, in order to see how your skin reacts so as not to inadvertently cause excessive skin.
