Born in the vibrant city of Beirut, Lebanon, Dr. Salloum's journey as a distinguished dermatologist has been defined by his profound commitment to excellence and innovation. With a passion for unraveling the complexities of skin health, he has carved a remarkable path in the field, marked by his extensive expertise in medical dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic enhancements.
Dr. Salloum's foundation in the sciences was laid at the University of Balamand, Lebanon, where he earned his bachelor's degree in biology with distinction. This early academic success paved the way for his pursuit of a medical degree at the same esteemed institution, setting the stage for his future achievements in the realm of dermatology. Upon completion of his medical studies, Dr. Salloum's unwavering dedication led him to the corridors of Saint George Hospital University Medical Center, where he embarked on a rigorous dermatology training and served as Chief Resident in his final year.
Eager to broaden his horizons, Dr. Salloum honed his skills through dynamic clerkships at renowned institutions, including the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center-Cornell in New York, CHU Toulouse in France, and the Montefiore Medical Center in New York for Mohs Surgery. Guided by the desire to refine his expertise further, Dr Salloum sought mentorship under Dr. Anthony Benedetto, a pioneer in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cosmetic dermatologic surgery, at the Dermatologic Surgicenter in Philadelphia. Dr. Salloum's extensive research portfolio spans the diverse domains of skin cancers and cosmetic dermatology, yielding over 20 peer-reviewed manuscripts.
Relocating to Rhode Island, Dr. Salloum further enriched his expertise through another medical residency at Roger Williams Medical Center, affiliated with Boston University. This multifaceted training not only complemented his dermatological proficiency but also broadened his holistic approach to patient care.
