Introduction
Amylynne J. Frankel is a board-certified Dermatologist who achieved most of her training in New York City at Mount Sinai Hospital. A native of New England, she graduated with a degree in biology from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, and went on to medical school in Vermont at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, where she also did a post-junior fellowship in Pathology. After graduating in 2008, Dr. Frankel completed her Internal Medicine Internship at Stonybrook University Hospital on Long Island, NY. She completed her Dermatology training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan, including as the chief resident in her final year, as well as a 2-year Clinical Dermatopharmacology Fellowship in which she ran the clinical trials department for the department of dermatology at Mount Sinai. After passing the Dermatology Board Certification, Dr. Frankel has practiced all across the country, first in Maine and then in Hawaii, before returning to her home state of Rhode Island. Dr. Frankel has a special interest in skin cancer and skin cancer surgery, as well as treating diseases such as psoriasis and acne.
In her free time, Dr Frankel is a nationally ranked weight lifter and hikes with her rescue dogs.
