Fillers

Fillers address mild to moderate facial lines and wrinkles and restores volume to areas of need for a more youthful appearance. You can enhance your lips and cheeks. The most commonly used fillers today include Belotero, Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm, Radiesse and Sculptra. Often a combination of the above is recommended for the most detailed, optimal results. You’re given one face and it should be treated that way. During a consultation Dr. Michaels can recommend which one or combination of fillers is right for you.

Dr. Michaels, M.D. uses topical and/or intralesional anesthetic cream for comfort to minimize the pinprick feeling of the injections. There is a possibility of bruising, swelling and/or tenderness in the area for approximately five days. Ice will help address swelling and cosmetics can conceal bruising if necessary. Other options to mitigate bruising and get you back into your normal schedule as quickly as possible will also be discussed. Two days of rest are recommended before returning to work.
